BILLINGS EK Spinning Reel — 5.2:1, 12 kg Max Drag, All-Metal Spool

The BILLINGS EK is an all-metal-spool spinning reel in black and gold, sizes 1000–7000, with drag stepping from 8 kg on the small sizes to 12 kg on the big ones. Pick your size by target species and you get a reel that is neither over- nor under-gunned. Black and gold — a classic colorway that never looks dated.

• 5.2:1 gear ratio — printed on the spool
• 8–12 kg max drag by size (8 kg: 1000–3000; 10 kg: 4000–5000; 12 kg: 6000–7000)
• All-metal spool; “EK5000” body marking
• Black-and-gold color scheme; black EVA handle knob
• Aluminum body; ambidextrous handle; 189–353 g by size

Good for: one series for the whole spread — panfish and trout on the small end, pike and saltwater on the big end.
